Infographic with event details including when and where

True sustainability in buildings is not just about equipment efficiency, it is about creating a balance between occupant comfort, indoor air quality, operational performance, and responsible energy use. This presentation explores how building automation helps connect these priorities, turning complex systems into a coordinated strategy that supports people, the planet, and long-term financial performance.

Learning objectives:

  • Define sustainability in the built environment as a balance between comfort, indoor air quality, energy performance, and operational goals.
  • Explain how building automation systems support sustainable operation through integrated control of HVAC, lighting, and related systems.
  • Recognize the relationship between system design, operational strategy, and long-term building performance.
  • Identify opportunities to use automation to improve occupant outcomes while supporting environmental and financial objectives.
